Homeschool Students Impact Russia

What better way to celebrate Christ’s birth than to spend your Christmas vacation serving him? That’s exactly what Bridgeway Academy homeschooling families did this past Christmas season by traveling to Russia to share Christ with the people there.

Through street ministry, evening concerts, and their ministry to area orphanages, these incredible kids made an impact for Christ.

The Kozcman and Persons families joined together with others from their church for this incredible missions trip. The JF Band, which performed several evening concerts was made up of seven young people, including five homeschool students from Bridgeway Academy!

One of these homeschool students writes most of the songs for the band and has a passion to reach the world for Christ.

The team of homeschoolers especially loved the orphans, and treasured their times of visiting and ministering to the children in the orphanage.

The group also went out on the streets meeting and inviting Russians to their evening concerts (Americans are a big draw there …). At the concerts they would share the Gospel through singing and playing contemporary Christian music, performing drama presentations, sharing their testimonies, and giving a salvation invitation.

Then then held follow-up seminars at the church for new believers, discipleship, marriage and family, and children’s ministries.

The team was also invited to several visits at a ‘Language Center’, where they would set them up as a panel and ask questions for hours!

These kids have a mission and are well on their way to making it happen. Their parents have encouraged those passions and dedicated their time and energy to helping their kids develop their talents and abilities to prepare for that mission.

What a privilege to meet such terrific kids! I cannot wait to see what next year brings!
