Bridgeway Homeschool Academy Offers Complete Online High School Program
Jul 31st, 2009 | By daansys | Category: Curriculum ReviewsIn response to the ever-changing needs of today’s tech-savvy high school students, Bridgeway Academy announces the addition of a complete online high school program to their broad spectrum of educational offerings.
“The digital era has had a tremendous effect on the way students process information,” said Jessica Parnell, Principal of Bridgeway Academy. “At Bridgeway Academy, we recognize that the traditional learning methods that worked 20 years ago may not work for every student. This new online program offers a rigorous learning experience that caters to the unique needs of today’s high school students.”
To ensure a comprehensive online education, Bridgeway has partnered with CompassLearning, a leader in innovative educational software solutions. The research-based curriculum is aligned with state and national standards and supports multiple learning styles.

As with Bridgeway Academy’s traditional textbook format, the online curriculum is completely customized to meet individual students’ needs. Students complete a placement test and an academic advisor prescribes an individualized curriculum of 5-7 courses based on the results of the test and the student’s goals.
Bridgeway’s Homeschool Advisors continue to work with students throughout the school year and stay completely up to date with each student’s performance and progress. Thus, the new program provides students with both independence and accountability.
In addition, Bridgeway Academy offers an Advanced/AP online high school program that is designed to help students not only develop critical-thinking skills that ensure future success, but also get a head start on college-level work. These courses offer the same
level of high-tech interactivity and engagement as the other online classes, but with greater depth, detail, and challenge. Powered by Thinkwell®, each lesson has the feel of a personalized one-on-one lecture.
The regular cost of the online program is $2,195. Bridgeway Academy is offering a $500 grant to the first 100 students enrolled by August 30, bringing the cost to $1,695.
”We are confident that both parents and students will love our online high school program,” said Parnell. “And our grant makes it the most affordable online high school program currently available.”
When you combine this online high school program with Bridgeway’s online College Now program, where students earn both high school and college credit, and it is clear that Bridgeway Academy is taking the lead in innovation and technology in education.
